Aihio™ is a collection of iconic Finnish glassware design that has been hand cast upside down as candles. Aihio in Finnish means an object which is transformed by evolution in design. Form follows function, a new function leads to a repurposed design. Reborn candles are based on original designs by the Riihimäki and Karhula glass factories from various designers between 1910–1976. Aihio™ pays homage to the timeless design of the Finnish masters.
